About Us

About Kalpavriksha Seva Trust

Kalpavriksha Seva Trust is a registered NGO founded in 2012 by Dr. Raghunathan Ramarao. Our name comes from the Sanskrit term meaning 'wish-fulfilling tree' — symbolizing our commitment to nurturing the dreams of underprivileged students.

We operate 36 centres — 1 Digital Centre in Chennai and 35 Digital Tuition Centres in Srimushnam Village — serving over 750 students and have trained 33 women entrepreneurs.

Our Programs

From free tuition to digital skills — every program is rooted in building a better tomorrow.

Evening Free Tuition

Daily free tuition for Classes 6–12 by dedicated volunteer and retired teachers across all core subjects.

Digital Support

Computer lab, STEM Lab, Smart TVs, 4 Interactive Digital Smart Boards, and Apni Pathshala digital learning.

Support to Schools

Solar plant, digital labs, smart TVs, abacus training, and competition training for Government schools.

Women Empowerment

Skill development programs — successfully trained 33 women entrepreneurs in the community.

Relief Work

Active during Chennai floods, COVID-19 (1st & 2nd wave), Mijang floods — providing basic necessities.

E-Sewa

Assistance with income certificates, government-related certificates and documentation for community members.

Rural Education

35 Digital Tuition Centres in Srimushnam Village, Tamil Nadu — taking quality education to rural communities.

Educational Assistance

Laptop, cycle & tricycle distribution, IIT/NEET coaching support, and direct fee payment for deserving students.

Summer Camp & Activities

Annual summer camps, educational tours, cultural festival celebrations, sports tournaments and competitions.
